The Aviator Parka or Bomber Jacket is an icon of enduring style. Since its inception a century ago, it has clothed the backs of war time fighter pilots, movie stars and A-list footballers. As with most menswear classics, the aviator parka / bomber jacket started life as a military jacket. With the introduction of air combat during WWII, pilots required jackets that could be worn in cramped cockpits at high altitude. Yesterday, we spent a lovely day on Ottawa Tulip Festival. The celebration founded on international friendship with the 1945 presentation of 100,000 tulip bulbs from Princess Juliana of the Netherlands to Ottawa, Canada’s capital, given in appreciation of the safe haven that members of Holland’s exiled royal family received during World War II in Ottawa and in recognition of the role which Canadian troops played in the liberation of the Netherlands. Pinky Vibes

Hello Everyone! It seems that spring is finally here in Montreal. In need of a little pink inspiration — I wanted to create a spring look based on a pale pink colour.

Pink is a hue traditionally associated with all things “girly.” For some reason (call it instinct; call it social conditioning), a lot of women, including myself, are simply drawn to the Barbie shade. I want to dispel the myth that rock and gothic style in fashion as a rule, is always gloomy and supported by the representatives of the same name subculture. Their clothing is dark, and consists of trousers, shirts, corsets and magnificent skirts. They wear silver skull and crosses around the neck. From this style emanates a certain tenderness and world beyond the grave, as members of society prefer gothic pale complexion framed by dark hair, black lips, nails and eyeliner.
