Cozy and chic — Styling knits

There are few outfit combinations as classically fall as a skirt and cardigan. 

While fashion rules are made to be broken — the most important rule that I generally refer to when putting together a sweater/cardigan and skirt outfit is that you don’t want to have both a tight-fitting sweater and a tight-fitting skirt on at the same time.

Instead, I prefer more voluminous sweater paired with a tighter skirt.

Skirts and sweater outfits lend themselves to matching pieces. A soft sweater paired with a structured skirt and ballet shoes create a high-fashion effect.
