While a leopard cannot change its spots, the leopard-print pattern has gone through many iterations to survive decades of trend cycles. Because of its versatility in colour and shape, leopard print never truly goes out of style.

Whether that’s due to the cold months or this year’s resurgence of faux and vintage fur coats is up for debate, though it’s fair to say both play into the hype. And even outside of coat form, fashion lovers are leaning into the animalistic side of leopard print, favouring fur and pony-hair accessories with large, organic takes on the print.

Today, I’m pairing the leopard coat with trousers and minimal accessories like black clutch and a pointy-toed shoe. Demonstrating the perfect starter look for those just beginning to play with pattern and textures.
