Leather gloves suddenly went from “formal event accessory” to “the thing every fashion person is casually wearing to lunch.” Blame the runways, blame the street style stars, or blame the fact that we’ve collectively reached for anything that makes an outfit feel more intentional—but gloves are having an undeniable moment.
A bold pop of colour will always be fun in the gloves department but a purchase that will last you much longer in your closet will always be a pair of white grey or burgundy leather gloves. It’s simply luxe.
The key to the fashionable look is — contrast. If your gloves are in a darker hue, opt for lighter coloured pieces to style it with, such as a cream oversized coat and the opposite.
Today, I’m wearing the long shearling coat on the darker hues, so the gloves are in the light colours. It almost matches the inside of the coat! Nevertheless, it brings the great contrast to the look.
