The fluffier – the better

Faux fur has been firmly back for a while now, but it’s mostly stayed in very safe territory colourwise, in black and maybe brown, for the adventurous. But all of a sudden, I see different colours of faux-fur everywhere.

I am not about to convince you that you need another coat. We live in Canada, so you probably already own three that you’ve worn this week. But there’s one specific style I keep stopping for mid-scroll, and after seeing it everywhere over the past couple of days, I thought it deserved its own moment. I’m talking about coloured faux-fur coats.

Short jackets worn with jeans and trainers, full-length coats that basically replace an outfit and even classic wool coats finished with bold fur trims. It feels like the fashion crowd is leaning into a more playful kind of winter dressing, one where the coat does the heavy lifting. And the best part? This is actually a very easy way to wear colour, even if your wardrobe is usually black, grey and beige (like mine).

If you don’t want risk either a colourful statement piece in your wardrobe, choose a more classier shade, for example — camel!

I love this new coat that I’m wearing today, it makes the whole outfit put together! What do you think?
