It’s no secret that brown is autumn/winter 2205’s biggest colour trend. After dominating on the runways, the high street has followed suit and the fashion girls have all concurred that the hue is officially this season’s leading neutral.

Sure, brown may be a neutral, but it can still feel a little intimidating to incorporate a new colourway into your wardrobe – even one as basic as brown – if you’ve historically stuck to black (guilty!). Rather than jumping in at the deep end and stepping out head-to-toe, try simply adding one brown item at a time to an outfit.

There are endless jacket / coats trends to choose from this season, and brown is proving a popular choice across the board. Take your pick from a boxy brown leather bomber, a soft-touch suede chocolate trench, or even a blazer.
Thrifting the other day, I found a perfect 90’s style leather trench in beautiful chocolate brown shade with a fur collar. Pairing it today with the over-the-knee boots and a big brown bag for monochromatic look.
